Niccolò Pisilli is taking over Roma.
After a slow start to the season, the Giallorossi talent has emerged with his talent and captivated Gian Piero Gasperini.
Now, for the Grugliasco-born coach, the 2004-born player has become a viable midfield option, and he could even play tonight – March 12 – against Bologna.
His talent, however, isn’t just being noticed by Gasperini. Gennaro Gattuso is closely monitoring the Giallorossi midfielder: the national team coach is seriously considering calling him up for the Azzurri’s upcoming matches.
Italy will be involved in the very delicate playoffs to secure a spot in the World Cup.
According to Tuttosport, Gattuso wants to first get a closer look at Pisilli before deciding on a possible call-up.
Tonight, a scout will be present at the Dall’Ara to watch the number 61 perform.
The manager, however, also wants to see him firsthand.
He will be present at the Sinigaglia stadium to observe him and gauge his performance in a crucial match like the one against Como, a crucial one for the Champions League race.
For the young midfielder, after playing for the Azzurrini, his dream of wearing the senior national team jersey in a World Cup could come true.
