Gattuso 'to make' three changes to Lazio starting line-up against Genoa | OneFootball

Lazio head coach Gennaro Gattuso is expected to make three changes to his starting line-up against Genoa on Sunday, with two enforced by injuries. The reshuffle follows issues suffered in their Serie A opener.

The Biancocelesti opened with a win in Bologna, sealed by Davide Frattesi after he replaced the injured Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, and Romano Floriani Mussolini also came on for Adam Marusic. Sky Sport Italia and La Lazio Siamo Noi expect a third change in attack with Gustav Isaksen preferred to Matteo Cancellieri, whereas La Gazzetta dello Sport makes Cancellieri a slight favourite, 60% to 40%, and adds a 40% chance that Andrea Pinamonti starts ahead of Boulaye Dia.

With Dele-Bashiru and Marusic set to miss at least 20 days, Frattesi, on loan from Inter Milan, will join Kenneth Taylor and Nicolo Rovella in midfield. Floriani Mussolini will start at right-back, with Danilo Doekhi, Oliver Provstgaard and Alfonso Pedraza retaining their places.

Isaksen missed the whole pre-season after groin surgery but returned in the second half at the Renato Dall’Ara and was considered an upgrade on Cancellieri. Mattia Zaccagni is also poised to start.

Gattuso remains without Samuel Gigot, Patric and Danilo Cataldi long term, plus Luca Pellegrini alongside Marusic and Dele-Bashiru. The conditions of Alessio Romagnoli and Josip Sutalo are improving, and it is unclear if they will be called up.

A projected 4-3-3 has Christos Mandas in goal, Floriani Mussolini, Doekhi, Provstgaard and Pedraza in defence, Frattesi, Rovella and Taylor in midfield, Isaksen, Dia and Zaccagni in attack.
