Gaúcho club eyeing staff linked to Corinthians Women’s youth setup

The women's football department of Corinthians may soon lose a professional. Rafa Esteves, currently responsible for the training of new athletes at the club, is one of Grêmio's targets for the position of executive in women's football, according to information initially published by the portals Lance! and União SCCP Feminino.

Rafa Esteves arrived at Parque São Jorge in 2024 and since then has had various responsibilities in managing the youth categories, such as administrative demands and issues related to infrastructure and contracts. Her expertise also includes a four-year stint at Ferroviária before joining Corinthians.

However, Grêmio has not yet made an official proposal, limiting itself to probing the professional's situation at the club and her interest in leaving. The tendency is that new developments will occur in the coming days regarding the matter.

While awaiting possible developments in the negotiation, Rafa continues her activities at Parque São Jorge. Currently, she is involved in the planning of the youth categories for the 2026 season, having already worked with the technical committee on decisions such as dismissals, renewals, and other measures for the next cycle.
