Gauthier Gallon terminates Rennes contract and joins Belgian bottom club Dender | OneFootball

Gauthier Gallon, 32, has terminated his Rennes contract, which ran to 2027, and joined Dender in Belgium. It is the goalkeeper’s first move abroad.

Dender, 16th and bottom of the Jupiler Pro League, did not disclose the length of his deal. The club said in a statement that he brings valuable experience to their squad.

Gallon arrived at Rennes in summer 2023 and later extended his agreement to 2027. He made seven appearances for the Breton club, five in the Coupe de France, one in Ligue 1 and one in the Europa League.

He had a blank 2025, out of Habib Beye’s plans and named in the matchday squad only once, the 1-0 against Reims on 21 February. He was moved to the club’s loft group at the start of last year.

His most recent appearance came on 22 December 2024 in the Coupe de France, a 4-1 win at Bordeaux.
