Durban City head coach Gavin Hunt says he is keen to add more new faces to his squad ahead of the transfer window deadline.

PSL clubs have until Monday, 22 September, to conclude their transfer business, with the window set to slam shut until January 2026.

The newly promoted Betway Premiership club has thus far signed a staggering 15 new players, including Thabo Nodada, Haashim Domingo, and Terrence Mashego, among others.

However, the City mentor expressed openness to further bolster the squad should a perfect opportunity on the Market arise before deadline day.

“If it was me, I would sign [more players]. I would strengthen any position, any good player, anyone that is better than my best player,” said Hunt.

“If any coach tells you they are done signing, then they shouldn’t be in the business. You are always looking to improve your team.

“When I won the leagues, I always tried to improve the team, trying to get better players, trying to get more competition – that’s the nature of the business.

Meanwhile, the KZN-based outfit has had an impressive start to life in the topflight as they are currently in fourth place with 11 points accumulated from six league outings.
