Yunus Musah has picked up a muscle injury, according to a report, and will miss tomorrow’s game against Genoa as a result. He could also be ruled out for the game against Verona, which wouldn’t be ideal.
The American international has been an important player for Paulo Fonseca’s side lately, playing to the right in the attacking trio. Above all, he has helped restore defensive balance, even if it was (ironically) his mistake that led to Red Star’s goal earlier this week.
In any case, as reported by Luca Bianchin of Gazzetta dello Sport, the midfielder has picked up a muscle in training and will be unavailable tomorrow. He could also miss the game against Verona, which is scheduled for Friday next week.
Milan are already a bit stretched in midfield, so his injury is far from ideal. It looks like Mattia Liberali will replace him tomorrow, with Tijjani Reijnders taking the step down again after being predicted to start in the No.10 role for this one.
Musah should undergo more tests in the coming days and then the extent of the injury will be clearer for the Rossoneri. But as said, the timing certainly could have been better.
