George Wells appointed as Brentford Women technical coach | OneFootball

Brentford Women are delighted to announce that George Wells has joined the club as technical coach to assist Carly Williams.

Wells joins the club having worked with Williams in his previous role as technical coach at Arsenal Women Under-21s.

He began his career coaching girls' teams in the US, before joining the Middlesex Girls Centre of Excellence where he coached players including Chloe Kelly and Rianna Dean.

"I'm really excited to be part of the club," said Wells.

"The ambition to really invest in the women's game was an exciting challenge for me and having worked with Carly previously, those two things made it a great opportunity.

"I coached at Arsenal Women for the last 10 years throughout the age groups from Under-14s to Under-21s. Over the last four or five years, Carly and I crossed paths and it will be great to reconnect on the grass at Brentford.

"There's a really good mix of people in the building and I'm excited by the opportunity to work with this group of players and develop them further to realise their potential.

"I've been working across the women's game for 17 years in multiple roles and now I can't wait to get involved at the senior level, reestablish the connections I have made over the years and help this team continue to grow."
