England star Georgia Stanway has put pen to paper on an extension with Bayern Munich.
The midfielder arrived last summer and enjoyed a successful debut campaign in Bavaria, playing 37 times and scoring 10 goals since her arrival.
And she is set to remain for the long-term after Bayern announced a new deal for Stanway until the summer of 2026.
“It feels like home here and that’s very important to me,” she told the club’s official website.
“It is the best place for me and my future. To extend my contract at this club is a great honour.
The 24-year-old is already part of Bayern’s leadership group and shares the captaincy with Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir and Sarah Zadrazil.
The new deal also puts paid to any chance of the former Manchester City standout returning to the WSL any time soon.
