Brought on to replace injured captain Maximilian Arnold shortly before half-time during last night's loss to SV Werder Bremen, VfL Wolfsburg veteran Yannick Gerhardt expressed extreme dissatisfaction with his team's organization during yesterday evening's affair. Gerhardt came on with the German Wolves leading 1-0. They would then concede four unanswered goals in the 2-4 home loss.

One of Wolfsburg's longest-serving players (252 Bundesliga appearances in nine consecutive seasons for Germany's green company team) has continually maintained a high sense of frustration with his current club after years of underachieving. The 30-year-old let it all out in his post-match interview with German broadcaster DAZN.

"Especially in the second-half, who delivered a performance that we absolutely shouldn't deliver again," Gerhardt said, "We were too careless on both sides of the ball and allowed the opponent too much space. One can't perform like that in the Bundesliga."

"We completely lost control," Gerhardt continued, "It felt as if everyone was doing what they wanted to do. We're always talking about new beginnings and good games, but one needs to get points in the end."

"Naturally, seven points from seven games isn't good enough," Gerhardt concluded, "That's not what we were striving for."
