AC Milan have been challenged to a game against German 3. Liga side FC Magdeburg on social media, 46 years after they first met.
The two sides faced off against each other on May 8 1974 in the Cup Winners’ Cup Final and the German team ran out 2-0 winners, and they have taken to Twitter to ask Milan for a rematch.

They propose for the game to be in Magdeburg and for it to be either after the COVID-19 emergency or in 2024, in what would be the 50th anniversary year.
