Already retired from international football, Manuel Neuer has definitively ruled out a comeback.

A few days ago, Manuel Neuer's agent left the door open for his client to return to the national team—if, in particular, Julian Nagelsmann deemed his services necessary. However, the German goalkeeper himself contradicted his representative, dismissing any chance of a comeback with the Nationalmannschaft.

"It's not an option for me to return to the national team. I deliberately decided to retire from international football; it was a conscious decision. And that won't change," he told Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen. For the record, Neuer retired from international duty a year ago, right after the Euros.

While waiting for Marc-André ter Stegen to recover from injury, Oliver Baumann will continue to guard the German goal.
