Germany edged Switzerland 4-3 in Basel, with Florian Wirtz dazzling for Julian Nagelsmann’s side with two goals and two assists.
According to BuLi News, Dan Ndoye struck first after space opened on the right, Jonathan Tah headed the equaliser and Breel Embolo then restored the hosts’ lead. Serge Gnabry levelled before half-time, Wirtz scored a fine curler after the restart and later sealed it with another.
Oliver Baumann was rated four after a quiet night, though he could have done better at his near post for the opener. Joshua Kimmich earned six, improved after the break and delivered threat from wide. Tah took five, composed in possession but bullied by Embolo.
Nico Schlotterbeck received four, too many loose passes despite aggressive pressing. David Raum scored six for solid defending and dangerous deliveries. Leon Goretzka was given six, neat combinations but errant finishing.
Angelo Stiller took five, tidy on the ball with 92% pass completion yet lacking physical bite. Leroy Sané got four after a subdued outing. Wirtz received a perfect 10 for a flawless creative display.
Serge Gnabry was marked seven, lively and incisive throughout. Kai Havertz took five, linked play well but faded and was withdrawn shortly after the hour.
From the bench, Nick Woltemade rated five and Lennart Karl six after arriving on 63 minutes. Anton Stach and Pascal Gross were not rated. Only players featuring at least 30 minutes received scores.
