Steven Gerrard believes Paris Saint-Germain star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is the best winger in the world right now.
Kvaratskhelia was influential again as Paris Saint-Germain booked their place in theChampions League final with a 6-5 aggregate win over Bayern Munich in the semi-finals.
After scoring twice in the first leg in Paris, the Georgian assisted Ousmane Dembele's early opener in the return, as PSG took control of the tie.
Kvaratskhelia's assist was a record-breaking moment, as the 25-year-old became the first player in Champions League history to score or assist in seven straight knockout games.
It was another standout display from Kvaratskhelia, who attempted the most dribbles on the pitch (6) and completed all of them. He also led the contest for touches in the opposition's box.
The winger has 10 goals and six assists in 15Champions League appearances this season, and there have been only seven occasions when a player has had more goal involvements in a single campaign.
Gerrard believes he is now the best in the world. The former Liverpool captain toldTNT Sports that Kvaratskhelia's willingness to do all sides of the game separates him from his peers.
"In with a shout for man of the match, for sure. Just so powerful, so dangerous," Gerrard said.
"He can go both ways, but it's also the other side of the game. A lot of wingers, they only want to do the side of the game when they have got the ball at their feet. They want to do the exciting things. They want to create and score.
"This guy does the lot. He works hard, he tackles, he fights. He can create, he can score.
"He's the best winger in the world right now. There's no one better than him. he's the best winger in the world right now".
