Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko suffered a major disappointment on Sunday, February 8, crashing out in the round of 16 of the 2026 FA Cup.

Asante Kotoko have been eliminated from the 2026 Ghana FA Cup. The reigning 2025 champions have lost their chance to defend their title. Asante Kotoko were defeated yesterday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in a penalty shootout (4-2) by Aduana FC after a frustrating goalless draw (0-0) that left their fans disheartened.

Now, the ten-time FA Cup winners have only the Ghana Premier League left to fight for this season. The schedule is unforgiving. In their next league fixture, the Reds will take on their historic rivals Hearts of Oak.
