The Malta Guinness Premier League, the highest women’s division in Ghana, has introduced extra incentivised funding for the 2024/25 season. The funding will be distributed amongst the winning players and managers at the end of season awards in their respective fields.

The aim of the investment is to further incentivise growth of women’s football in Ghana. The Ghanian FA has previously created funding for women’s clubs in Ghana alongside a women’s coaching pathway. The aim of the pathway was to decrease the gender gap in the country between coaches by offering 40 women coaches specialised training.

In further support of excellence, this season we are proud to introduce cash awards for best player and best coach of the season in both the Southern and Northern zones.”
