Following the completion of a busy February for Celtic FC Women, there is now a brief break from the domestic action with the first international break of 2026 upon us.
With World Cup qualifying set to get underway for the tournament in Brazil in 2027, the journey starts now for many nations across the globe.
Alongside those competitive qualifiers at senior level, there is also friendly action for the younger age groups.
In total, seven members of the Celtic squad will be joining up with their nations, who meet up for the first time this year.
Scotland are one of those countries who get their World Cup qualifying underway. And there will be two familiar faces part of the senior squad.
Having made herself a regular within the set-up, Emma Lawton will be eyeing up her 10th cap for her nation as they take on Luxembourg in a double-header.
She will also be joined by Maria McAneny, who receives her second call-up. Her first came back in November, when she made a positive impact, scoring on her debut for her country.
Elsewhere, the Irish national team will also get their World Cup qualifying kick-started with two challenging fixtures against France and the Netherlands.
Saoirse Noonan will once more be joining up with Carla Ward’s squad, having played her part in a positive few months for Ireland, which included promotion to League A in the UEFA Nations League.
At youth level, the Celts are represented across the age groups with Scotland. Lisa Rodgers was named as part of the 18-player Under-23 squad who will take on the Netherlands in a friendly in Inverness on Monday, March 2.
Whilst Darra Dawson will be heading out to Belgium with the under-19ss for two friendly matches in Brussels.
Also joining Dawson is fellow Academy graduate, Sienna McGoldrick, who recently joined up with Partick Thistle on loan until the end of the season, where she made the perfect start, scoring on her debut with a stoppage time winner against Hamilton.
Best of luck to all the Celts representing their nations over the coming week!
