Gian Piero Gasperini seeking guarantees to stay at Atalanta | OneFootball

Serie A side Atalanta are yet to know whether manager Gian Piero Gasperini will stay at the club beyond this season or not but the Italian is currently looking for guarantees to stay at La Dea.

Alfredo Pedulla has reported that there is still a possibility of the Italian staying at Atalanta but everything depends on the club’s approach in transfers. Gasperini expects Atalanta to keep their best players and he had a similar expectation last summer when Teun Koopmeiners was sold to Juventus.

Now, the veteran expects the club to either keep Ederson and Ademola Lookman or if they leave, they should be replaced adequately. There is a liking for Rayan Cherki and Igor Paixao, but contacts have been made for Celtic’s Arne Engels and for Genoa’s Morten Frendrup.

Gasperini has big ambitions and wants to make sure that Atalanta operate at the highest level by replacing players that are lost efficiently.
