Gianluca Prestianni: Trabzonspor ‘to bid’ as Benfica hold out for around €20m | OneFootball

Trabzonspor’s interest in Benfica winger Gianluca Prestianni is intensifying, a move could reunite him with Sidny Cabral.

According to Glorioso 1904, the club from Türkiye aim to add Prestianni alongside Cabral, signed this summer for about €7m. They are said to be ready to offer between €13m and €15m, while Benfica want close to €20m before opening talks.

If the deal progresses, it might lead to an unexpected reunion of former team-mates linked, indirectly, to one of last season’s most talked-about moments.

An incident involving Prestianni and Vinícius Júnior prompted the Argentine’s precautionary suspension before the second leg of the play-off with Real Madrid. After the match, Cabral asked the Brazil international for his shirt, a gesture that caused unease in the Benfica dressing room.

Relations between the pair were understood to have settled before Cabral’s move to Türkiye, and Trabzonspor now believe they can bring them back together, players who know Benfica’s methods and environment.

For now Benfica are holding a firm line and show no intention of easing Prestianni’s exit. Marco Silva is assessing the winger in pre-season, and Rui Costa awaits any offer strong enough to change the club’s stance.
