According to L'Équipe, the British NGO FairSquare has filed a complaint with the investigatory chamber of FIFA’s ethics committee, seeking an inquiry into alleged repeated violations by president Gianni Infantino.
The submission lists eight incidents in the past two years, all linked to US president Donald Trump.
On 5 December 2025 in Washington, Infantino presented Donald Trump with the FIFA Peace Award.
FairSquare has kept up pressure in recent months, after its request to the IOC over repeated breaches of political neutrality was rejected in July.
In August the NGO wrote to the body to seek the ineligibility of its president.
