Gil Vicente sign Lucão after Andrew moves to Flamengo | OneFootball

Late in the 2025/26 season, Gil Vicente have moved to cover the loss of goalkeeper Andrew to Flamengo by signing Lucão from Red Bull Bragantino, according to Coluna Do Fla.

Bragantino announced the sale last weekend, and the player is expected to be unveiled in Portugal in the coming days. Financial terms and contract length have not been disclosed.

Andrew had been one of Gil Vicente’s standout performers this season. He accepted an offer from Flamengo and became the club’s second signing of 2026.

He has been training with his new team-mates since last week and is part of Filipe Luís’s pre-season group. The goalkeeper adds another option between the posts.

Andrew’s documentation only arrived on Tuesday (20), a public holiday in Rio de Janeiro, so Flamengo could not register him for the clássico. He will miss the meeting with Vasco on Wednesday (21) in the third round of the Carioca at the Maracanã, with kick-off at 21:30, Brasília time.
