Gillingham coach Paul Raynor is very pleased with the two players he took on loan from Arsneal this summer.

Raynor managed to recruit Forward Trae Coyle and defender Zech Medley on loan, and they played against an Arsenal Under-23 side in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday.

The Gunners won the game 4-2, but Raynor was pleased with his team's effort and had special praise for both Medley and Coyle.

"We are delighted with both of them. They are obviously good young players and Arsenal have many of them," Raynor told the Gillingham club website.

"We identified these two guys as players that would develop here. Zech has slotted in at centre-back and left-back.

"Steve Bould said some nice things about them and their development under us. They will keep learning and they'll really benefit from this period with us."
