Milan have received approaches from Lazio and Porto for Santiago Gimenez, with any move hinging on whether the club will allow a loan.
According to Sportitalia, Lazio could only take the Mexico international on a dry loan without an option to buy, which could provide regular Serie A minutes and lift his resale value.
Gimenez was a significant January 2025 signing from Feyenoord but has not met expectations. He registered seven goals and six assists in 37 competitive appearances, missing most of last season after ankle surgery in December.
The arrival of Goncalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain further reduces his likely opportunities this term. Porto are also in the market due to an injury to Samu Aghehowa Omorodion and are exploring alternatives.
Agent Jorge Mendes, who also oversaw the Ramos deal, is helping to shape the talks. It remains unclear if Milan would accept a loan without an obligation to buy, as sales are needed to fund further reinforcements.
