Sevilla have set their sights on Giorgi Kochorashvili, who is not in Sporting de Portugal’s plans, after a last-minute win over Rayo Vallecano delivered their first three points of the season.

The Andalusians have already added Fran González, Juan Iglesias, Sangante, Julio Díaz, Jon Guridi and Robbie Ure, and moved on several players not in Luis García Plaza’s plans. The squad remains incomplete, with a couple more reinforcements targeted. ABC reports they are prepared to invest to land the 27-year-old Georgia international.

Kochorashvili joined Sporting from Levante two seasons ago for about five point five million euros plus two in add-ons. He is not part of Rui Borges’s thinking and has not been called up for the first two league matches.

Any deal depends on agreement between the clubs. Deportivo Alavés and Getafe are also monitoring closely and could intervene if Sevilla step away from the bidding.

It could be a busy few hours in Nervión as Sevilla try to secure Kochorashvili and move towards closing their squad, barring any late development.
