Girona agree deal for Manchester City star | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Girona have put in place the framework of a deal to bring in a member of the defensive ranks at partner club Manchester City.

The player in question? Vitor Reis.

Reis, for his part, is a 19-year-old defender, who generally operates in a central role.

The youngster made the move to Manchester this past January, after City beat out stiff competition to bring the Brazilian in from Palmeiras.

Reis, as expected, found game time tough to come by over the 2nd half of the term, though, on his way to just a solitary Premier League appearance.

In turn, it should not come as a major surprise to hear of the stopper preparing for a loan stint away from Pep Guardiola’s squad.

As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano:

‘Girona have agreed deal in principle to sign Vitor Reis on loan from Manchester City. Formal steps to follow then Reis will travel for medical and contract signing.’
