Girona lets an epic comeback slip away against Oviedo (3-3) | OneFootball

Girona came close to victory on an afternoon that was meant to be heroic but ended with a very bitter taste. Míchel's team overcame a 0-2 deficit against Oviedo thanks to two penalty goals by Cristhian Stuani and a rocket from Ounahi, but once again, history repeated itself: a goal in the last second of stoppage time, scored by David Carmo, sealed the 3-3 draw and left Montilivi stunned.

The match started with good feelings but lacked continuity. Despite an early clear chance by Joel Roca, which was stopped by a great save from Aarón Escandell, Girona gradually faded. Montilivi erupted in celebration, already savoring three vital points to climb out of the hole. But football was cruel: in the eighth minute of added time, Carmo capitalized on a corner to score with a header and secure the final 3-3.
