Girona misses out on a reward against Mallorca | OneFootball

Girona earned a point against Mallorca in a match that had more chances than goals. Quique Álvarez's team controlled the game for much of the first half but found Arnau Tenas to be a tough obstacle to overcome.

The Girona side started with rhythm and persistently sought Mallorca's goal. Abel Ruiz and Carles Pérez were key players in attack, but Girona failed to convert their dominance into clear chances to take the lead on the scoreboard.

Mallorca also had their opportunities, and Gazzaniga had to intervene to keep a clean sheet. As the minutes passed, however, the match became more balanced, and after the break, it lost intensity.

In the second half, Girona continued to search for a goal but found it more difficult to create space. Tenas once again stepped up when called upon and ended up being one of the standout players of the match.

The 0-0 draw leaves Girona with a point against a direct rival and keeps both teams in the upper part of the standings. The result is positive in terms of the standings, but at Montilivi, there is a sense that Girona had enough arguments to achieve something more.
