Girona secure €20m striker deal | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Girona have this week tied up a deal to add some much-needed reinforcements to the club’s frontline for the season ahead.

This comes amid confirmation of the Catalans splashing out to bring in Vladyslav Vanat from Dynamo Kyiv.

Girona are for their part fresh off an altogether concerning opening to the new campaign.

Across a pair of outings in La Liga to date, Míchel’s troops have not picked up a single point, owing to defeats at the hands of Rayo Vallecano, and Villarreal.

Not only that, but along the way, the Blanquivermells have found the net just once, whilst conceding eight times.

In turn, it came as little surprise when word was forthcoming this week that the Montilivi brass were preparing to dip back into the transfer market.

And as alluded to above, over the last 24 hours, such endeavours have borne fruit.

As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano:

‘Vladyslav Vanat to Girona, here we go! Understand the release clause has been paid at 3am. €20m value for Ukrainian striker to join the Spanish club from Dinamo Kiev.’
