Giuliano Simeone has signed a new contract with Atlético Madrid to 2030. The 23-year-old winger, son of head coach Diego, extends the family partnership at the club.

Marca suggests that the renewed deal would include a €500 million release clause. His previous contract had been due to expire in 2028.

An Atlético academy graduate, Simeone broke through last season, playing 50 matches and contributing five goals and nine assists.

This term he has missed only one of the club’s 28 fixtures, with three goals and seven assists, and Atlético are currently fourth in La Liga.

The hierarchy would like to make the right winger a pillar of their project, alongside Julian Alvarez, 25, Alex Baena, 24, and Pablo Barrios, 22.
