Borussia Mönchengladbach head of sport Rouven Schröder said on Saturday that no offers have arrived for Nico Elvedi and Moritz Nicolas. According to BuLi News, interest has not yet translated into formal bids.
Both have been linked with several clubs since the first transfer window in 2026. Leeds United tracked Elvedi during the World Cup, and the centre-back helped Switzerland reach a first quarter-final since 1938.
Elvedi, 29, joined Gladbach in 2015 from FC Zürich. Goalkeeper Nicolas has also attracted admirers, with Aston Villa and Celtic among those previously credited with interest.
Nicolas, 28, also signed in 2015 and became number one at Borussia-Park only after his third loan spell ended.
Eugen Polanski named both players in the leadership group on Friday. Tim Kleindienst, limited to three appearances last season because of injury, remains captain.
Rocco Reitz wore the armband in his absence but has now joined RB Leipzig in a controversial move. Philipp Sander and Kevin Diks also form part of Gladbach’s team council this season.
