Gladbach’s Tomáš Čvančara (25) to undergo Celtic medical | OneFootball

Celtic have reached an agreement with Borussia Mönchengladbach to sign Tomáš Čvančara on loan for the remainder of the season, according to Sky Germany.

The Czech forward is currently on his way to Scotland with his entourage where he will then undergo a medical. If everything goes accordingly, Celtic will cover the player’s salary, while they also retain an option to sign striker on a permanent basis.

Čvančara’s time at Gladbach and season so far

Since his arrival from Sparta Prague in July 2023 for €10.5m, the Neratovice-native has netted just eight goals and provided two assists in 54 appearances across all competitions for Die Fohlen.

Spending the first half of 2025/26 on loan at Antalyaspor, Čvančara returned one goal in 11 Süper Lig appearances, spanning 526 minutes before returning to Gladbach due to unpaid wages. The 25-year-old officially filed a suit seeking to claim his back-pay.
