According to Coluna Do Fla, Globo set its 2026 Libertadores ratings peak during Flamengo’s 1-1 draw with Estudiantes on Wednesday 29. The match formed part of the competition’s third round.
The broadcast peaked at 29 points and a 49% share, outstripping the tournament’s 2026 average. The last Globo Libertadores game to better that figure was the 2025 final, when Flamengo beat Palmeiras 1-0.
Flamengo went ahead on 33 minutes of the first half, Luiz Araújo turning in from close range after a Bruno Henrique pass. Guido Carrilho levelled 10 minutes into the second half.
Globo will have another big audience on Sunday 3, when Flamengo face Vasco in round 14 of the Brasileirão at the Maracanã. Kick-off is 16:00 Brasília time.
The Flamengo support are expected to turn out in force, with tickets for the clássico sold out and only the South Sector still available.
