Go Ahead Eagles have announced the signing of Mathis Suray from FC Dordrecht for the 2024/2025 season. The 22-year-old Belgian midfielder has been a star player for the second division side this campaign, with 13 goals and six assists in 38 matches. The club are currently competing in the promotion play-offs in the second tier and drew their first leg with FC Emmen 2-2. Suray grabbed a goal and put in a man of the match display away from home.
The Belgian began his career with Charleroi and then moved to Anderlecht’s youth team. He never made an appearance for the senior side, moving across the border to the Netherlands in 2020. Since then, heh as made 118 appearances for Dordrecht and scored 20 goals. He has also provided 14 assists in that time.
Suray has signed a contract with Go Ahead Eagles until 2027, with the option for an extra year.
