Göztepe host Kayserispor in the Süper Lig on Sunday, 15 February 2026 at Gürsel Aksel Stadyumu in İzmir, with the home side protecting a top four spot and the visitors trying to climb away from the relegation places.
These sides drew 1-1 in Kayseri in September, but the season picture has since diverged. Göztepe are 4th on 40 points and have built their campaign on control and clean sheets, while Kayserispor sit 17th with 15 points and need a result to spark their survival bid.
Recent league form leans the hosts' way. Göztepe beat Caykur Rizespor and Fatih Karagümrük and drew at Fenerbahçe and Konyaspor. Kayserispor, by contrast, have lost four straight league games after a December draw at Konyaspor, including defeats against Beşiktaş, Başakşehir and Galatasaray.
Availability could bite the visitors. Kayserispor are without Youssef Ait Bennasser through suspension, with Majid Hosseini and Denis Makarov injured. Defenders Abdulsamet Burak is suspended and Kayra Cihan is sidelined, while Emre Çeltik is also out. Göztepe list Ismail Köybasi, Efkan Bekiroglu, Alexis Antunes and Arda Kurtulan as injured.
The match-up points to Göztepe's defensive platform against a side conceding too often. Stanimir Stoilov's team have let in just 12 goals in 21 league games with 12 clean sheets, and could look to wide delivery given Amin Cherni's four assists this season. In attack, Juan leads their scoring with six league goals. Kayserispor have conceded 43 and kept two clean sheets, but German Onugha's six goals and João Mendes' supply give Radomir Djalovic a route if they can find territory.
A home win would cement Göztepe's grip on European qualification. Victory for Kayserispor would ease pressure in the relegation fight and could be the springboard towards safety.
