Jean-Philippe Mateta, 28, could soon be on his way out of Crystal Palace, but it appears his next destination has already been decided. Despite interest from Nottingham Forest, the French striker reportedly prefers a move to AC Milan, according to multiple sources.

The Rossoneri are said to have reached an agreement with Mateta on a contract worth around €3 to €3.5 million net per season, including bonuses. The Italian club has also held talks with Crystal Palace over a transfer fee in the region of €30 million—a figure lower than Nottingham Forest’s €35 million offer.

Mateta, who has previously attracted interest from Juventus, now looks set to continue his career in Serie A, with a move to Milan expected as early as this winter.
