Gonzalo Plata holds farewell party amid Flamengo pre-season, club sources deny exit talks | OneFootball

According to Coluna Do Fla, Gonzalo Plata held a farewell party on Sunday during Flamengo’s pre-season, amid rumours over a possible departure.

The forward is moving home, though he will remain in the same Barra da Tijuca condominium. He is under contract until June 2029.

Club sources say there are no talks to sell the Ecuadorian. They noted recent sales of Juninho and Wallace Yan, adding that letting Plata go would leave the squad short and would make little sense.

While the under-20s contest the opening rounds of the Carioca, the senior squad continue pre-season. After a day off on Sunday 18, players reported back at CT Ninho do Urubu on Monday morning 19.

Flamengo face Vasco on Wednesday 21 in the third round of the Campeonato Carioca, at 21:30 Brasília time at the Maracanã.
