Gonzalo Plata’s proposed move to Dynamo Moscow (RUS) has collapsed. The forward is set to arrive in Brazil on Friday night.

The Russian club said he failed his medical, so they pulled out of the deal. With the window closing quickly for the forward, Flamengo have reintegrated him into the squad.

Flamengo had signed Anthony Valencia to cover Plata’s expected departure, but both will now be available to Leonardo Jardim, increasing his attacking options.

The club also brought in Joaquín Freitas during the window. The Argentine plays a different role, so he is not in direct competition with Plata.

Plata will not feature against Remo on Sunday six, the coaching staff weighing his recent return and lack of match rhythm. He is due to start reintegration with training next week.
