Fulham have agreed a €40 million deal for Gonzalo García, acquiring 70 per cent of his rights, with a further €2 million in add-ons. Real Madrid retain the remaining 30 per cent. The forward will work under Álvaro Arbeloa.
According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Fulham will also sign Castilla midfielder César Palacios for €10 million for 70 per cent, with Madrid keeping 30 per cent. The sales form part of a broader summer offload that is helping to finance much of the €275 million spent on first-team signings.
Those incomings include €135 million for Diomande and €60 million, potentially rising, for Rodri, with announcements due in the coming days. Madrid have also lined up €60 million for Cucurella and €20 million for Dumfries. Konaté and Bernardo Silva will arrive on free transfers.
Among academy exits, Nico Paz is joining Como for €60 million with an €80 million buy-back clause. The Premier League and Serie A have been the main destinations.
Madrid’s La Fábrica is being used as a revenue generator to fund marquee recruits. Barcelona’s La Masia, by contrast, focuses on developing players to become key figures in the first team.
