Andy Robertson will also be heading out the door - following the club’s decision not to offer the 32-year-old left-back a new contract.

There is uncertainty around the fate of another first-teamer in the shape of Ibrahima Konate too. Out of contract in 2026 it was speculated only a few weeks ago that a new deal was a formality.

But time is ticking down with the 26-year-old now set to enter the final month of his current deal.

Liverpool reach breakthrough for Kieran Morrison

, 19, has enjoyed a superb campaign at UEFA Youth League and Premier League 2 level. The Northern Ireland international has outgrown academy level football this season - stepping up to feature with Arne Slot’s first team.

An attacking midfielder or winger by trade the left-footer has an eye for goal and a creative spark that marks him out as a star for the future.

This is Anfield is now reporting that Morrison has been offered a new long-term deal by decision-makers inside the AXA Training Ground.

And following links with Premier League, Championship and German clubs in January it looks like the attacker will be heading out on loan for the 2026/27 season.

Morrison to sign new deal and head out on loan

Morrison’s original deal was up this summer with Liverpool holding an option to extend his terms by an additional 12 months. However given his rise to prominence it looks like the talented playmaker is in line for an even longer deal.

“Liverpool youngster Kieran Morrison has been offered a new long-term contract and is now expected to commit his future before departing on loan this summer,” the report reads.

“That comes with Morrison heading towards the end of his current deal this summer – though the club held an option to extend those terms by a further 12 months.

“Instead, the 19-year-old is expected to put pen to paper on a new long-term contract with a view to heading out on loan for the 2026/27 campaign.

“Morrison is attracting strong interest from clubs in Germany and a move abroad is seen as a realistic opportunity for the versatile attacker.”

Liverpool are expected to restock their attack this summer - with the likes of Bradley Barcola and Yan Diomande emerging as wing options.

Florian Wirtz has got the No10 berth nailed down while Harvey Elliott may also have a part to play. That leaves Morrison in need of a loan deal in order to garner the first-team football he now deserves.
