MIAMI — Clubs in the Concacaf W leagues continue to advance in their quests to win their respective league titles.
Gotham FC continues its title defense in the NWSL as the latest team to qualify for the playoffs with a 1-nil victory against the Utah Royals on Sunday at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.
The only goal of the encounter came in the 3’, as Yazmeen Ryan shot to the bottom left corner for the match-winning goal that gave her team its third win in a row. Lynn Williams was instrumental in the build-up, recovering the ball and playing the give-and-go off Esther González, to supply the assist.
