Germany were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Greece in Thessaloniki, leaving Jurgen Klopp with just one win from his opening four matches as national team coach.

Greece made the brighter start, with Georgios Masouras forcing Jonas Urbig into an early save, but Germany soon took control. Florian Wirtz, Derry Scherhant and Tom Bischof all threatened as the visitors dominated possession.

Jonathan Burkardt appeared to break the deadlock in the first half, only for VAR to rule out the goal after detecting a handball from Bischof in the build-up.

Germany continued to press after the interval, but struggled to turn their dominance into clear chances. Greece occasionally threatened on the counter, with Masouras heading just over late on.

The hosts defended resolutely to claim a point, while Germany remain third in Group A2 and face an uphill battle to reach the Nations League Finals.

Greece, meanwhile, stay unbeaten in the group and level on points with leaders Netherlands.
