Scotland face Greece tonight in the penultimate game of their World Cup Qualifying journey. The Tartan Army are in Greece to get a result in order to set up a straight shootout against Denmark for a place in the World Cup next summer.
After escaping with a 3-1 win on the last meeting with Greece, Steve Clarke’s side are at the Stadio Georgios Karaiskaki hunting for a result as they look to make the first World Cup since 1998.
Scotland go into the two games without No.1 Angus Gunn. Two former Celtic goalkeepers are in contention to start and you’d imagine it is between Craig Gordon and Scott Bain to take the jersey. Gordon is the experienced option, who is a regular around the squads but has not featured for Hearts this season. Bain, meanwhile, has impressed after joining Falkirk from Celtic in the summer.
Tony Ralston and Kieran Tierney will likely be involved as part of the squad with Ralston likely to start at right back. KT is more than likely to start on the bench if it’s a back four but could come in if the manager goes for a three at the back.
Predicted XI: Gordon; Ralston, Souttar, Hanley, Robertson; McTominay, Ferguson, McGinn; Gannon-Doak, Adams, Christie
The game kicks off at 7:45pm (Celtic Park Time).
The game will be live on BBC 2, BBC Scotland and BBC iPlayer.
Come on Scotland!
