The report states that PAOK, who will play Europa League football next season, see Taylor as their primary target to strengthen their defensive line this summer, seeing the current Celtic left back as as their ideal choice as he possesses the characteristics they are looking for.

PAOK’s offer, according to the report, includes a two-year contract, with an option to extend for another year, and significantly improved salaries compared to what he was receiving at Celtic. The 27-year-old footballer is currently in Dubai with his family and PAOK is anxiously awaiting his response.

It should be noted that while PAOK’s offer may well be more that Taylor’s current Celtic salary, Brendan Rodgers has already stated that financial matters aren’t the problem with Taylor being offered a considerable rise and also a four or even five years contract, which brings with it the security that Taylor will be looking for for him and his family.

A guarantee of two years in Greece and then having to earn a third year might not be as attractive as PAOK think. The Greek club has also been rumoured to be interested in signing Luis Palma from Celtic after the Honduran international winger’s loan spell at Greek Champions Olympiacos proved to be unsuccessful.

Meanwhile Arsenal officially confirmed the departure of Kieran Tierney today, leaving the field open for Celtic to make their own announcement on his return to Paradise.
