Marseille beat Le Havre 1-0 at Stade Océane, Mason Greenwood converting a second half penalty to lift the visitors from seventh to sixth in Ligue 1.
A handball by Lucas Gourna Douath was penalised in the 52nd minute. VAR confirmed the spot kick (54.), and Mason Greenwood converted from the spot (55.). Greenwood is now on 16 goals, second in Ligue 1's scoring chart.
Sofiane Boufal then won a penalty (70.) but cracked the bar (71.). Gerónimo Rulli saved Issa Soumaré's header moments later (71.) to preserve the advantage.
Le Havre introduced Simon Ebonog and Timothée Pembélé (72.) and pushed down the left, with crosses causing scrambles.
Late on, Igor Paixão had a goal ruled out after a VAR review in the eighth minute of second half stoppage time. Moments later, Ebonog fired over from the centre of the box in the ninth minute of second half stoppage time.
Seven minutes were initially indicated for added time, extended by the lengthy check before the decision.
Les Phocéens registered three shots on target from seven attempts. Le Havre produced two efforts on target from 10 attempts and had 50.2% possession.
Next, Le Havre visit Lorient. Les Olympiens host Rennes.
