Romain Faivre joined from Monaco for under one million euros in 2020. After two seasons, and 14 goals with 10 assists, OL bought him for 15 million euros, Brest’s record sale.

Ibrahima Diallo arrived on loan, Brest then paid two million euros in 2019. A year later Southampton signed him for 12 million euros, with Leicester City already keen, the club’s second biggest sale.

Lilian Brassier was loaned from Rennes in 2020 and quickly convinced, Brest paying just under two million euros. OM and Stade Rennais then offered further loans at a higher level, and his formative club needed 12 million euros to bring him back last summer.

Romain Perraud cost two million euros in 2019 after spells at Nice and Paris FC. In 2021 Southampton, encouraged by Diallo’s move, paid 12 million euros, the same fee and profit within a year.

Pierre Lees-Melou joined for about two point five million euros after Norwich City’s 2022 relegation. He led Éric Roy’s side to a Ligue 1 podium and Champions League spot, then moved to Paris FC for around six million euros last summer.
