Grégory Poirier will begin work at Nantes on Tuesday morning, with his backroom team now set. The new head coach replaces Michel Der Zakarian at the bottom of Ligue 2.

According to L'Équipe, he has committed to the club until June 2028. His staff comprises Ibrahim Rachidi, Laurent Combarel and fitness coach Gilles Marambaud.

Rachidi worked with Poirier at Martigues and is leaving his assistant role at AS Cannes. Combarel previously linked up with him at Red Star.

Marambaud returns to the set-up, having already spent part of last season at Nantes.

Der Zakarian’s exit also means the departures of his assistants David Bechkoura, Vitorino Hilton and Jean-Marc Branger.
