Grégory Proment, still Clermont coach, uses LinkedIn to seek a new role

Grégory Proment, still in charge at Clermont and under contract, has used LinkedIn to say he is seeking a new challenge, sharing his CV.

The method is unusual in the professional game, and the club has not announced his departure. Clermont finished 13th in Ligue 2 last season.

In his post, he said he is open to a head coach position or a coach developer role.

The former Metz and Caen midfielder, aged 47, is in his second first-team job this season, after a six-month spell with Seraing in Belgium's second tier in 2023-2024.

Before that he led the reserves at Caen, Metz, Seraing and Clermont, then took charge of Clermont's first team last summer.
