At Grêmio, club figures say a 2027 budget cut is not on the table for now, and recruitment for next season continues as normal.

That stance reflects recent spend. This year the club opened a women’s training centre with RGM Academy, investing R$ 1 million in equipment and furniture.

Fortaleza decided to cease women’s operations for 2026, despite a landmark year that brought the Campeonato Cearense title and first-time promotion to Série A1. Ceará reduced their women’s setup, merging Under-20 with senior, and will play the state league from the 10th.
