Grêmio confirm signing of Nardoni on deal to 2029 | OneFootball

Grêmio announced on Friday night the signing of Racing midfielder Juan Ignacio Nardoni. The club said in a statement that the 23-year-old will arrive in Porto Alegre next week for medical tests before signing a deal to 2029.

Racing recruited Nardoni in 2023 for US$ 6 million, R$ 32.5 million at the time, including taxes and commissions. The involvement of Saja, who played for Grêmio and worked with executive Paulo Pelaipe then, helped the negotiations.

With Racing, Nardoni won the 2024 Copa Sudamericana and the Recopa the following year. This season he started two of the team’s three matches, defeats to Gimnasia and Rosario Central. He remained on the bench in the loss to Tigre on Monday.

He becomes Grêmio’s fifth addition for the campaign. The Tricolor have already signed left-back Caio Paulista, forwards Tetê and Enamorado, and goalkeeper Weverton.

The club are also close to announcing another Argentine midfielder, Leonel Pérez from Huracán.
