Grêmio near agreement on new main shirt sponsor as Cimed expected to join | OneFootball

Grêmio are close to announcing two new sponsors for their kit, including a new main partner to fill the club’s prime shirt slot.

According to Globo.com, pharmaceutical firm Cimed is expected to take another space on the uniform, while the principal position, vacant since December, is close to being agreed with a company from a different sector.

The fee has not been confirmed, but the board’s aim has been to get as close as possible to the previous Alfa Bet commitment of around R$ 50 million per year.

Grêmio terminated that deal with the betting firm in late November 2025 after three instalments went unpaid, leaving R$ 12 million outstanding. The club then secured a one-off sponsorship for two matches with Energia Bet.

In recent months the club have rejected main sponsorship offers, including from betting companies, valued between R$ 20 million and 25 million, judging them too low. The market in that sector was also viewed as uncertain and shrinking because of new regulation and higher taxation.

One proposal on the president’s desk came from a vehicle manufacturer, and the chosen company is expected to be revealed in due course.
