Grêmio led at the Arena but lost to Vasco after a second half turnaround, with Nardoni and head coach Luís Castro criticised.
According to Globo.com, Villasanti put Grêmio ahead, yet errors and ineffective changes flipped the match.
Noriega used the ball well and broke up play. Jovane Cabral won possession for the move that led to the goal. Diego Caito forced a save from Léo Jardim.
Wallace gifted Colidio a chance and was booked, then steadied with key interceptions. Kannemann was secure but failed to clear in the six-yard box for a Vasco goal. Weverton made important saves and was largely blameless.
Krovinovic impressed early but was pushed wide after the break and faded. Tetê was busy without end product, misplacing simple passes and jeered off. Carlos Vinícius and Enamorado lacked service and missed openings.
Matheus Nascimento had a late sight of goal but shot weakly, and Pedro Gabriel struggled against Adson and was booked. Nardoni slowed Grêmio and his giveaway led to the winner. Luís Castro was rated the poorest performer, short on ideas and harmed by his substitutions, with no case to stay.
